1st Prize: New life for 'Handelshof' on Nauenstrasse, Basel

"After intensive consideration of all five entries, the jury decided in favor of continuing to build on the existing building and the competition entry by Miller & Maranta with Gross Generalunternehmung AG." We are very proud to have been part of the competition team and look forward to working on the project together. The analysis of the existing support structure and the design of the addition to the existing structure was an exciting and complex task. Taking into account the challenging noise situation, the characterful existing building will be converted and elevated into a house with innovative typologies for diverse forms of living.

1st Prize: Redesign of "Kocherei" at the Attisholz site in Riedholz

Over the next few years, the industrial area in Riedholz, which has been open to the general public since 2018, is planned to be transformed into an urban "village section" in stages. For the future design of "Kocherei," a total of seven teams were invited to participate in a competition. Together with Burckhardt Architektur, we were able to convince the jury with our concept. The old "Kocherei" building, where cellulose was once produced, will be expanded and will provide space for residential areas, services, businesses, and gastronomy on a usable area of 18,000 square meters.

Office trip to Antwerpen

Our long-awaited office trip finally took place last week. Until the departure, the majority of the staff didn't know where the trip was going. The joy was even greater, and it was fantastic that all three locations had the opportunity to come together outside of work. At this point, a big thank you to Helen and Max for organizing this trip for us!
